Chronology

It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Badingham as they have a long-standing rivalry that comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner has previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of Poldark. I haven’t read the books so I can’t comment on how accurate it is.

It’s a bit of a joke

That said, I can say that I really enjoyed this show and I really hope there’s a second series. But it makes for great TV. And a great escape from reality. I managed to watch it in 2 days.

I wish there were more episodes

It’s nice that they’re not stretching it out too much though. David Tennant is great as usual. But I was actually more surprised by how good Danny Dyer was. I’ve seen him a few times.

But he was brilliant

(Who isn’t) And I was a little skeptical to see him in this. There are so many characters that I just love and some I loved to hate. Too many to mention. Highly recommend.
