Rating 7.5/10The most honest and truthful biographical drama you can get about Lee Miller, the famous photographer of the 1930s and during WWII, showed the world the horrors of the world in her time. Played by Kate Winslet, this is very much her film, and rightly so.
Alexander Skarsgård and Andy Samberg are the equally great understudies in this truly first-rate film
Once again, great work from an actress who still manages to hold your attention and works hard at it. Ellen Kuras takes us through a downright hellish world with flashes of light and happiness that are rare given the subject matter, and it’s disturbingly beautiful to watch, but also tough.
Lots of cinema and with what is out there it shines and never gets boring
Screenwriters Liz Hannah, Marion Hume and John Collee give us a solid script and story considering how terrible the world was, while Andrea Riseborough and Marion Cotillard do their best in acting and come across as really rough except for Josh O’Connor who is the clean guy here. The film could have been a bit edgier and beefier but then it would have been very graphic and would have received a higher rating which would have put off more viewers who need to see this film.
