Chronology
Daryl journeys through a broken but resilient France, hoping to find a way back home. Its original purpose was as a church until the French Revolution, when it was converted into a mausoleum commemorating French national heroes. Despite the series being set over a decade after the apocalypse, there seems to be no end to the petroleum.

Characters are eager to drive cars and trucks in the series, despite the fact that gasoline deteriorates with age, usually within a year or two. Additionally, as gasoline breaks down, it becomes rubbery and also compromises engine components. So driving motor vehicles for ten years or more in a zombie apocalypse is out of the question.

Thankfully, the French actors speak French and are very convincing and compelling
Seeing Daryl wake up on the beach reminded me of Rick waking up in a hospital bed after the world (almost) ended. There are two caveats though: don’t make this a mega-production with thousands of nameless, instantly forgettable extras AND don’t introduce a new NEGAN, because he ruined the whole show for me. Third, don’t turn this into another The Last of Us, because that would be pointless, boring, and unimaginative.
