Chronology

Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, makes a play to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melting makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti share how they became a. character during the production of “The Penguin.” Colin Farrell fought hard to have his version of the Penguin smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but failed. However, for his own series, the character is depicted as a casual smoker with a preference for cigars.

Farrell STEALS this show

An umbrella falls and the logo transforms into the Warner Bros. logo. Featured on The Graham Norton Show: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). He’s awesome.

The show is serious and graphic

There’s nothing about the character that even hints at Farrell. The New York accent, the swaying and limping, the attitude: you’d swear it was a different person. The amazing prosthetics are very realistic and add to the character. There’s nothing cartoonish about it.

Well-written and tense

It’s a great counter to Christopher Nolan’s Batman. In fact, I’d say it blows the Marvel line out of the water. I hope there might be a Season 2, but I know it’s limited. It’s too bad.
